Youth Football

Youth Football is the final step for young footballers prior to moving into senior competition. Players aged 16 - 18 are eligible for competition, and play 11 man football, as seen on TV in the NFL and as played at senior level (18+).

For graduates of flag and junior kitted, youth football represents the opportunity to compete in the full football format for the first time, and for newcomers to the sport to participate in the game they know and love.

Almost three years in the making, the goal over the coming seasons is to add strength and depth to our under 18s ranks giving the club a production line of experienced accomplished players who will eventually make the progression into adult competition.

Our philosophy for youth football, is to ensure that young adults have a positive vehicle in which to channel their efforts and potential within a fun, friendly and welcoming environment that encourages personal development both in sport, and socially.

Players receive focused coaching, mentoring and continual feedback on their performances and achievements, built around a programme of theoretical and practical drills and exercises aimed to develop their knowledge of American Football in order to become better athletic performers. The squad will compete in regular season games across the country, and depending on their success, will continue into knockout playoff games on route to a national final in which the top teams from the north and south of the country face off for the National Championship.

Youth football presents an opportunity for young people regardless of athletic ability, background, size, strength or experience to flourish in a team sport which purposefully makes use of an individuals personal attributes, whatever they may be.
