Referee Signals

American Football is a complex sport, and there are many rules which need to be enforced. This of course, is the job of the men and women in the black and white stripes.

When a foul is committed, the referee will communicate to the teams, and the spectators by means of a signal. Below are some of the most commonly used signals, so that you can follow the action easily come gameday. You can view the signal, and the name of the foul by double clicking any image.
